From budget to new business.

Your budget divided by the estimated lead price gives the number of whole leads you can buy. Multiply those leads by your close rate to estimate jobs won, then multiply jobs by your average job price to estimate extra revenue.

The displayed average lead price is a planning estimate: the midpoint of the listed industry range for the named lead type. Match it to the work you want, such as new installations, repairs or recurring service. It is not a live Matagi quote.

A simple example.

With a $1,000 lead budget and a $125 estimated lead price, you can buy 8 leads. At a 25% close rate, that means 2 expected jobs. If you charge $1,000 per job, that is $2,000 in extra revenue, or $1,000 after paying for the leads.

You still need to pay labor, materials and other business costs from that amount. Revenue after lead spend is not profit. Expected jobs can include fractions because they represent an average across repeated purchases.

Common questions

What is my close rate?

The percentage of customer requests that become paid jobs. If you win 20 jobs from 100 requests, enter 20%. Use comparable requests for the same type of work.

What service price should I enter?

Enter the average amount you charge a customer for one job. For recurring services, use the same period consistently rather than mixing a single visit with a full-year contract.

Does the calculator show profit?

No. It shows expected revenue and revenue after lead spend. Labor, materials, overhead and other business costs still need to be paid.
